Prerequisites

Ribbons: All Ground Ribbons, below Level 6.

Unit Experience: All candidates must have at least 6 months experience as a full time member of the StowMarines.

Selection: Candidates can only apply for this role with a recommendation from a current member of Leadership.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle Asset Management:

  • Assign Team Vehicles in the Leadership Briefing

  • Ensure Teams have suitable vehicle assets to utilise throughout operations

• Equipment:

  • Assign Special Equipment requirements in the Leadership Briefing (e.g. Cables Ties, NVGs, Explosives etc)

  • Ensure members have suitable supplies to perform the Platoon Leader's plan through operations

• Team Crates:

  • Ensure all teams have correctly filled and labeled their team crate before deployment

• 2IC to the Platoon Leader:

  • In the event of the Platoon Leader being unable to perform their duties, the Plt Sgt will run the Platoon as the stand-in Platoon Leader

• Map Management:

  • Ensure the Platoon Leader's plan is accuratly detailed on the map using relevant Map Markers

  • Update the map throughout missions to ensure it matches the active situation

• Field Asset Awareness:

  • Track Friendly assets POSREP and SITREP

  • Advise the PL on Enemy Asset Acquisition and/or Destruction

• Advisor to the Platoon Leader:

  • Give the Platoon Leader advice on existing or future situations

• Handle delegated Platoon Leading:

  • When requested, handle support assets or separate AO(s) on 2nd Platoon Net.
