The Flight Lead is in charge of the Rotary Team (Helios), and is responsible for the effective training and execution of Helios.
Ribbons: Extensive Rotary Flight Experience (in SM) & has all infantry Leadership ribbons up to (and including) Team Leader.
Unit Experience: All candidates must have at least 6 months experience as a full time member of the StowMarines.
Selection: Candidates can only apply for this role with a recommendation from a current member of Leadership.
Training:
Compose and execute training plans for Helios
Run training sessions to catch all new and existing pilots up to necessary standards
Attend unit training's when Helios is required
Run new recruits though a assessment flight to gauge skill, attitude and personality and assign rank accordingly
Create training and reference documents when needed
Personnel & Logistics:
Ensure high quality team cohesion
Assign Correct aircrafct to the correct callsigns if delegated by the JTAC
Manage Helios promotions where necessary
Keep track of Helios Attendance
Air Leadership
Make decisions for the whole of Helios in operations when needed
Issue orders to other Helios callsigns in the event of the JTAC not directly assigning a callsign
Show exceptional rotary abilities
Actively work towards improving Helios by experimenting with new ideas/documents/systems/concepts
Map Management:
Ensure effective intel for ground troops through accurate map markers
Update the map throughout missions to ensure it matches the active situation
Field Asset Awareness:
Track Friendly assets POSREP and SITREP
Advise the JTAC on Enemy Movements
Operations:
Attend Mission Briefings & Brief Pilots on the mission and their assignment(s)
Coordinate the JTAC on Helios Capabilities
Effectively delegate tasks to other Pilots
